DOWN SYNDROME INCLUSIVE
BUTTON TOY

The purpose of this product was to allow kids with Down Syndrome to have the same experience as the kids without the disability. After a long research process including interviews with mothers of kids with Down Syndrome I designed a toy that could be held by any hand size. Since kids with Down Syndrome lack fine motor skills, this toy focuses on improving fine motor skills and requires twisting, pressing on different sized buttons.

The packaging informs the parent on what fine motor skills are used or gained with the toy. The wooden package can be used as a storage space by the parent.
